AUBAN — Whitewater High School’s 3-star defensive lineman in Fayetteville, Georgia, Stephen Johnson joined FIU-transferred Rivaldo Fairweather and 4-star safety Sylvester Smith as he focused on Auburn football on Sunday. became the third player to do so.
Johnson, who has been dedicated to Arkansas since June, announced his intention to join the Tigers via video Posted on Twitter.

Listed at 6 feet 4 inches and 320 pounds, Johnson has been tabbed as the 147th defensive lineman in the 2023 class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He is also rated as his 130th best player in Georgia’s class.
There are currently 15 recruits committed to Auburn in this cycle, and Johnson is the third defensive lineman. He is also his sixth player from Georgia, after 4-star Daron Reed and Terrance Love, 3-star Conner Liu, Colton Hood and JC Hart. Players can make their verbal commitments official on Wednesday when the early signing period begins.
