If all were even against Georgia Southern -3.5 Buffalo, a call would be made. Here, UB’s backfield is very thin, the offense isn’t strong enough to keep up, and the Eagles are far better equipped to hang out in back and forth shootouts.

East Carolina is missing a few players, but nothing that adds a major twist. Meanwhile, Coastal Carolina lost head coach Jamie Chadwell to Liberty, new head man Tim Beck is absent, and the team is missing some key pieces on the line.

There is a lot to unpack here.
Usually when you make a final call for a game pick in preview, you choose a final score, lock it, don’t look at the line until the end, and don’t change it unless it’s on the line or something happens.Strange events – weather, injuries, etc.
My first thought was that this was going to be an intense shootout.
Both Oregon and North Carolina have star quarterbacks returning next year. Drake May from North Carolina and Bo Nix from Oregon.
but …
1) If you’ve been with me for the last 25 years, you know my rules. If the world gives you a total of 70+ in college football, you take a step back, say thank you, and move on no matter what… It’s really hard to break through 70+ .
2) These bowl games are generally low scoring and terribly shabby. Any missing parts are important.
3) No North Carolina’s Josh Downs. Drake May lacks his top receiver and Oregon lacks offensive depth.
4) Okay, be careful here. Oregon has lost a ton of defensive talent, and North Carolina’s defense has basically lost most of the people they can play. Either offense could look like he’s throwing against an eight-player defense on the field.
After all, I’m a little surprised that both teams don’t have offensive coordinators, with North Carolina’s Phil Longo headed to Wisconsin and Oregon’s Kenny Dillingham as Arizona’s new head coach. Some pretty aggressive shows.

But the quarterback situation gets interesting depending on whether or not John Rhys Plumlee is really okay, and not having enough starters in the transfer portal – sore top target Ryan O’Keeffe – becomes a problem. .
Long said bowl year without doing much based on what happened in the regular season, Duke is as close as it gets to being normal.

Oh, how I hate giving double-digit points in bowl games.
At this flake fest of exhibition season, when in doubt, take the underdog, especially if you’ve scored 10 or more points. But at least with this you should know exactly what you’re getting.
Syracuse is without star RB Sean Tucker. That’s okay – he wasn’t used as much as he should have been this year – but his absence would still sting. Even with him, Syracuse was completely off the map in the second half of the season .
They were blown out with 10 or more in four straight games before winning over a corrupt Boston University team.
Tucker is not alone.
Part of the reason for the slide was defense thinned out by injuries. With an already thin line to go with a secondary hit by a transfer portal, this didn’t exactly get better.
Meanwhile, Minnesota is also missing some of its secondary, but its offensive line is still amazing – John Michael Schmitz is probably the best center to go in the draft and he’s playing – and that goes to Mohammed. Ibrahim and a heart-pounding Gopher Bucks rotation.
At least Ibrahim is going to play.
The program has won four straight bowl games, with PJ Fleck’s team beating West Virginia 18-6 last year.
