NEW ORLEANS – The Crimson Tide played their third practice in New Orleans Wednesday morning and returned to practice for their 10th overall at the Sugar Bowl.
Alabama Football practiced for two hours at the Shell inside the Caesars Superdome to continue their preparations for Kansas State University.
During the limited media viewing period, the teams performed warm-up stretches before splitting into offensive and defensive drills.
Ball’s attacking side is scheduled to meet with the media late Wednesday afternoon, including offensive coordinators Bill O’Brien, Jarmer Gibbs, Jacory Brooks, Cameron Ratu and Emile Ekiyo Jr.
Kickoff for No. 5 Alabama and No. 9 Kansas is set for Saturday at 11 a.m. on ESPN.

Practice Notes – December 28, 2022
- As on Tuesday, the first team’s offensive line was, left to right, Tyler Steen, Tyler Booker, Seth McLaughlin, Emil Ekiyo Jr., and JC Latham. The second team had true freshman Elijah Pritchett at left tackle, Terrance Ferguson at left guard, Darian Dalcourt at center, Jayden Roberts at right guard and Kendall Randolph at right tackle.
- As previously reported, Jalen Moody is out for the Sugar Bowl, leaving Alabama with at least one man inside linebacker. On Wednesday, redshirt freshman Deontae Lawson, who played in 10 games, warmed up with his team but didn’t participate in defensive drills. Lawson was seen on a stationary bike. True freshman Jihad Campbell was running on the first team alongside Henry Tootoo. Campbell has played in 10 games this season, all on special teams. Ian Jackson and Kendall Blackshire were the second team inside linebackers.
- Byron Young was seen doing warm-up stretches and jogging, but didn’t even participate in the drills.
- The quarterbacks running the drills were Bryce Young, Jalen Milroe, Ty Simpson, and Eli Holstein, in that order.
