Just hours before the college football playoff semifinals, two of the best teams in the nation will face off against No. 5 Alabama. 9 Kansas at the 2022 Sugar Bowl on New Year’s Eve. The Crimson Tide were voted No. 1 in the nation in the preseason, but it was the Wildcats who went on a hot streak by winning the Big 12 Championship game.

Alabama and Kansas have never played against each other on the ballpark. The Tide last played in the Sugar Bowl as a non-CFP game in his 2014 famous loss to Trevor his Knight Oklahoma.
