The New York Jets will battle to keep their playoff hopes alive in Week 17 against the Seattle Seahawks. The quarterback changes are expected to result in a balanced offense that improves both the passing and running game. Does that mean Fantasy’s manager should look to Michael Carter or Zonoban Kite as viable starting options for this week’s lineup?
Fantasy Football Analysis: Michael Carter/Zonovan Knight RB
Mike White’s return to the starting lineup should give the Jets a boost in their receiving staff, but could the same be said for the backfield? Knight works as lead back, but leaves the pass down situation to Michael Carter.
Both players utilize different strengths in their skill sets. In other words, a fantasy manager may prefer one or the other.
Of the two, Knight is considered to have the most advantage in leading the backfield and carrying it to the ground. He has recorded his double-digit carries in four of his last five games, and hopes that White will get the game going back on track by having the defense respect the pass. Carter said he finished with 10.0 PPR fantasy points, which is a solid value for his PPR format, but for a fantasy manager playing for a championship this week, he’s at best flexing his players. It’s hard to imagine that it offers a value close to the level.
Do you want to start on week 17 or sit down?
Knight has some RB2 value heading into Sunday on a high floor considering the Jets are playing for playoff hopes this week. Given that you can attack the 31st-ranked run defense, that means Knight is the better option. Please leave it on the bench.
