The 2022 FCS Playoffs will play their penultimate match this weekend, with four teams looking to advance to the national championship game.
The remaining four schools in contention for the championship are the 7th seed Incarnate Word. 4-seeded Montana State. 3-seeded North Dakota. and No. 1 seed South Dakota. The Cardinals will face the Bisons in Fargo, North Dakota, while the Bobcats will face the Jack Rabbits in Brookings, South Dakota.
Three of the four semi-final teams arrived here blown out as SDSU defeated Holy Cross 42-21. NDSU he beat Samford 27-9. Montana State defeated William & Mary 55-7. The Incarnate Word were the only low-seeded team to reach the quarterfinals, where he defeated second-seeded Sacramento State University 66-63 in a thrilling quarterfinal matchup to knock the Hornets out of contention.
The highlight of this week’s semifinals is that if both Bison and Jackrabbits win, they’ll face each other in the playoffs for the fifth time in program history. North Dakota State has never faced them in an FCS Championship Game, but he’s 4-0 in a matchup like this.
