Defensive end Jared Vars, safety Jamie Robinson, defensive tackle Fabian Lovett, and wide receiver Johnny Wilson have yet to officially announce their plans for the future. has been the most vocal of the four about his intentions to pursue a professional career since the win over Florida.
After moving from FCS Albany to Florida State during the offseason, Bath has developed into the Seminoles’ breakout star on defense. As such, he’s been talked about as a potential first-round prospect since early fall.
The hype surrounding Edge Rusher continues as more scouts and draft experts review his tapes in the past few weeks.
On Thursday, Vaas entered another mock draft as CBS Sports’ Josh Edwards predicted he would be the 15th overall pick by the Seattle Seahawks. That would make him the third edge behind Alabama’s Will Anderson and Texas Tech’s Tyree Wilson.
“While Boye Mafe continues development, Seattle adds another pass rusher log to ignite,” writes Edwards. “A move to Albany has already shown that a step up in competition isn’t that big a step up for him, so there’s no reason he’s not ready to take the next step.”

Verse recorded 41 tackles, 14.5 tackles, 7.5 sacks and a blocked field goal in 11 games. He ranked second in tackles for loss and third in sacks during the regular season, despite injuries that knocked him out in the second half against Louisville and the following weekend against Boston College. Verse was named First-Team All-ACC due to his outstanding performance a few weeks ago.
Despite being a potential top pick in April’s draft, Verse continues to evaluate all his options.
“I definitely sit down with my coaches, sit down with some of my teammates and figure out where their heads are and where my head is. I’d love to meet you,” Vaas told Nov. “But I love being here. The whole experience of being here. To have the opportunity to play at the next level, not everyone gets that opportunity. It pays off for my hard work.” I know that hard work pays off. I’m definitely going to sit down and think about it.
The Pennsylvania native will be competing with Oklahoma in the Cheez-It Bowl contest in Florida on Thursday.
