Jets vs. Jaguars live score, updates, highlights from NFL ‘Thursday Night Football’ game

The Jets and Jaguars will debut in prime time in Week 16 in 2022.

The Jets (7-7) have spent most of the season in the playoff positions, but after losing three games in a row, they are no longer in a strong position. Their hopes of staving off the longest-running playoff drought in the NFL are still alive, but the road will be much narrower if they can’t get past the surging Jaguars.

Jacksonville QB Trevor Lawrence has had a stellar record, throwing 13 touchdowns and just one interception in his last five games. Lawrence says the Jaguars (6-8) are controlling his destiny in the AFC South. A win at East Rutherford would be a big step towards an unexpected playoff spot.

Mike White’s rib injury has pushed Zach Wilson into the starting lineup for New York. That means Lawrence will face the quarterback he was the No. 1 pick in the 2021 draft. Wilson looks down as his future with the Jets is in question.

In what is expected to be a rain-soaked game under the lights, Wilson has a chance to change the narrative for at least one night and put the Jets’ playoff hopes on track.
