Hardik Pant’s Team India will take on Sri Lanka in T20I, the second of a three-match series, on Thursday (5 January). The first T20I between Men in Blue and Asian Cup champions lived up to its billing as it saw content that nailed it until the last ball. Due to take place, India are looking to wrap up the series win in this match itself.
After losing the first game by two points, Dasun Shanaka’s team hopes to come back in the second game. By the final over he needed 13 runs, so Pandya gave Axor his Patel the task of leading India home. The left-arm spinner kept his cool after being hit six by Chamikakarna Ratne and from his three balls in the final he had to defend five runs. However, Karunaratne lost to the Indian all-rounder as India took the series lead 1–0.
Pune’s MCA Stadium is known to favor batsmen, and the pitch is expected to remain unchanged in that respect. The team batting second holds the advantage in Pune.
