Captain (1.5x points, 1.5x salary): QB Aaron Rodgers ($16,200)
In this MNF matchup, keep it simple and let Rodgers be your captain. The veteran’s QB hasn’t put up flashy numbers in his NFL DFS this season (15.4 DraftKings points per game), but vintage Aaron he can put in a Rodgers performance. The last time we saw Rodgers in prime time, he scored 11.4 draft Kings his points (2 TD, 2 INT) against the Eagles. DFS players hope history doesn’t repeat itself against this Rams defense on Monday night. That puts his fantasy points to QB this season his ninth-lowest (16.3). It’s a risky captain’s play, but there are no better options on the Rams that would give him enough comfort to move on from Rodgers.
FLEX RB Cam Akers, Rams ($8,200)
For the Rams to succeed offensively, they need to rely on Akers, who has played well in the past two games. Against the Raiders last week, the young running back was drafted by the Kings as he tallied 10.3 points (42 yards on 12 carries and one touchdown). If Akers, who struggled last week, can keep the ball, they could have another solid game on Monday night. The Packers’ defense hasn’t been great at stopping runs this season, allowing him 154.8 yards and 15 rushing touchdowns per game. Additionally, Green Bay is giving away his RB (26.2) for the 7th most DraftKings points this season. This is a lucrative place for him to play his Akers contending for the LA feature in 2023.
Week 15 DFS: Best Value | Best Stack
FLEX WR Allen Lazard, Packers ($7,600)
Most DFS players would add phenomenal newcomer Christian Watson to their showdown lineup. But we go against the public and opt for one of the often overlooked threats, Lazard, one of Rodgers’ most consistent threats, a veteran wide whose receivers have scored his ten Earn more than his DraftKings points. In Green Bay’s final game against the Bears, Lazard scored his 11.7 DraftKings points (5 receptions gave him 67 yards). Now he gets to play a Rams defense that allows his eighth-most DraftKings points and his twelfth-most receiving yards to a WR (37.4). Watch out for Rodgers to get veteran receivers into frequent passing games on Monday nights.
FLEX WR Van Jefferson, Rams ($6,800)
Young wide receivers don’t have a lot of volume, but they can make big plays with one catch. We saw him do this last week when Jefferson scored the game-winning touchdown against the Raiders. That his TD, he scored his 12.4 DraftKings (his two receptions for 44 yards). Since Week 10, young wideouts are averaging 9.8 DraftKings points. The 26-year-old wide his receiver will have a tough matchup Monday night against a Rams defense that allows him WR (32) points for his 9th-lowest DraftKings this season. Flex RB AJ Dillon, Packers ($6,200)
The 24-year-old running back had a great performance in Week 13 against the Bears. Dillon scored a season-high 20.9 of his DraftKings points (119 total yards with 21 touches and a touchdown) as the Packers won 28–19. The former Boston College standout has scored more than 15 of his DraftKings points in consecutive games. Aaron If his Jones (ankle) is restricted on Monday night, we can see Dillon getting most of the carries. The Rams’ defense has given up his yards rushing 124 yards per game in the past three games.
FLEX WR Tutu Atwell, Rams ($4,400)
Our final MNF face-off contest play is Atwell, which has been used in various ways by the Rams. Against the Raiders last week, the 23-year-old receiver scored his 9.5 DraftKings points (for 50 yards he had five receptions). It was his second straight game that Atwell had at least 9 of his DraftKings and had 5 or more targets. The 5’9 receiver has averaged 9 DraftKings points per game over the past four games. Atwell deserves credit for his salary because he’s one of the most explosive playmakers in the Rams’ offense.
