It’s finally here! After months of relentless hard work and anticipation on the recruiting trail, he is just days away from his first National signing day. For Notre Dame football, it was a truly unforgettable process.
The program has had the opportunity to round out the arguably top recruiting class since at least 2013, and an even better argument is that it may be the most well-rounded group from before that.
Currently, the Notre Dame class for 2023 is:

Whole class impact
2023 is already rated top class for Notre Dame in the 247Sports era. There are now 288 total points on that platform, which would top the previous high of 284.77 set in 2013 if everyone signed on Wednesday.
That 2013 group included standout players such as linebackers Jaron Smithsafety Max RedfieldRunning Bucks Greg Bryant When folston dancedefensive lineman Isaac Rochelleaggressive lineman Mike McGrinchee and quarterback Malik ZaireIn total, the team had 19 new recruits ranked 4 stars in their class.
By comparison, the 2023 group has 24 players rated 4 stars on at least one recruiting platform.
The numbers are impressive, but it’s even more impressive to see what this staff was able to do in a NIL-ridden landscape. Many programs offer rewards, but the Irish program continues to sell Vision instead.
This is the first full Recruit class in the Marcus Freeman era and sets the precedent and expectations for impact on the Recruit Trail.
class balance
It’s the insane balance the group boasts that gives the Irish class a key claim that even the class of 2023 is underrated.
The only place they can claim to have “missed” is Vyper, but even there they were able to sign a very talented defensive line group that could fill that vacancy. Staff meet needs and keep getting more talent everywhere. Not only is it a talented group, it also needs to fit in well.
new priority areas
One of the main storylines for the 2023 hiring class is the impact of Notre Dame in Lone Star State. So far, the staff has secured commitments from five different Texas players at cornerback mica bellsafety Peyton Bowen and wide receiver jayden greathouse, Braylon James When Caleb Smith.
In the previous five recruiting classes, Notre Dame was only able to get a total of three players, including running backs, from Texas. Jadarian Price (2021), also as a defensive lineman hunter spears When Mr. Osafo Mensah (2019). It’s mind-boggling that a state with a rich history of developing footballers isn’t getting the attention it deserves. That attention has returned under this current staff.
Notre Dame also started a pipeline in St. Louis on this cycle.Former staff has seen some success in recent years with former star returning Killen Williamsand defensive lineman Gabriel Rubio When Tyson Ford.
However, the next few recruiting classes have seen an increase in talent for playmakers and skill positions in areas Notre Dame hopes to land. The 2023 class will start at running back. Jeremiah Love and corner back Christian Gray Each is a top 100 caliber recruit.
The staff has already secured the following commitments, which could lead to success in 2024: Aneyas WilliamsHe’s just an hour north of St. Louis, Missouri. There’s also an outstanding pair of wide receivers, the stars of St. Louis (MO) University, that Notre Dame seems to hold very highly. Ryan Wingo and Christian Brothers of St. Louis, Missouri stand out Jeremiah McClellanLove’s teammate.
Maintaining that momentum in St. Louis is a top priority for advancing the talent the region is producing.

Will they stay or will they leave?
With no major targets left on the board, keeping what you have if it’s Notre Dame is a top priority. I have two retained recruits. Peyton Bowen And Washington’s standout running back Jaden Rimmer.
For Bowen, things seem to be trending in Oklahoma’s favor at the moment. It may be tough to end up with an Irishman, but Notre Dame staff and other commits in the class have gone to great lengths to keep him in the class. I am making a great effort. Marcus Freeman And this staffer has proven something, they shouldn’t be left out. Potentially keeping Star Defenders in class is a top priority leading up to Wednesday.
The IB posted an informational report about Limar on our premium message board this weekend. HereHe nearly walked out of class when Rimmer decided to make an official visit to Oregon this weekend, but has yet to formally announce it. Rimmer may have a change of heart, but now By the way, it doesn’t look like the Irish will keep Rimmer.
Anyway, Notre Dame recently did a great job of recruiting and developing a running back position. ‘s future is strong anyway.
