OXFORD – Ole Miss football will be putting the finishing touches on the 2023 class as the early contract term approaches next week.
On Friday, the Rebels got some good news at its end when three-star offensive lineman Ethan Fields announced his commitment.
The 6-foot-3-inch, 320-pound Fields will be ranked the 78th interior offensive lineman in 2023, according to 247Sports Composite. A native of Dutchtown High School and Geismar, Louisiana, Fields is also his 47th-ranked player in his home state in the 2023 class.
Fields was committed to Purdue, which underwent a leadership change after coach Jeff Bloam left for Louisville. With his commitment, Ole Miss’ Class of 2023 has grown to his thirteen members. Fields is his third offensive lineman in the Rebel class. He will be coached by his coach John Garrison, a new offensive who recently arrived from North Carolina.
Reinforcement of the offensive line remains important to Rebels this offseason, and the depth in that area has decreased. His 16 olees entering the transfer portal his misses five of his players are offensive linemen and the Rebels will at least lose Mason Brooks to graduation.
