OXFORD — Ole Miss Football Wideout Jonathan Mingo officially announced. He’s declaring his 2023 NFL Draft.
Brandon High School’s product appeared in 41 games over four seasons at Oxford, recording 112 receptions for 1,758 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Mingo had his most prolific season to date in 2022, catching 51 balls for 861 yards and five touchdowns. Although he had one season left to qualify, he chose to turn pro and announced his decision in a Twitter post Monday night.
“Rebel Nation, thank you for your love and support over the years,” Mingo wrote. “I was really lucky to be on Ole Miss Level.”
Mingo finished the season as Ole Miss’s second best wide receiver behind Malik Heath, who ran out of college eligibility for the season. With his pass his catcher on the move, Lane his kiffin has already started to reshape its room using the transfer portal.
