Australia international all-rounder Ashton Ager is excited about the idea of playing on a spin-prone subcontinental pitch in February’s four-match Test series against India.
Australia will travel to India in February and March, where they will play four Tests and three one-day international matches. Agar claimed he had always wanted to play Test cricket in India. After Cameron Green’s injury, he was added to the Australian squad for the third Test against South Africa.

Left-arm spinner Agar, who last participated in the 2017 Test match, took nine wickets in four matches. His combined average over 63 games in the first class is his 41.84. Additionally, he scored his 2271 runs, including his 300.

Ashton Agger feels he’s made for the seventh at-bat
The 29-year-old, who made his Test debut against England in 2013 and batted an impressive 98 at No. 11, said he would love to hit No. 7 if given the chance.
“I feel like I can hit around the 7th place mark once I’m in. That’s really great. I think it’s something you make. To be honest, I play better.” Agar said.
“Professional sportsmen enjoy that responsibility. I feel like I have to step up and do the work for the team.
“Whenever you bat in four days of cricket you have time, especially at No. 7 there is always plenty of time. It’s a hitter’s dream.
