Ole Miss is scheduled to pay an official visit to former Vanderbilt quarterback Mike Wright this weekend. In his three seasons with the Commodores, Wright threw for 2,067 passing yards, 21 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. A native of Fayetteville, Georgia, he recorded his 905 rushing yards and his seven rushing touchdowns during the Vanderbilt era.
The former three-star recruit was rated as the #19th-ranked dual-threat quarterback in the 2020 signing class.

On College Game Day Monday morning, Ole Miss Rebels is in the mix for standout former Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Sanders, according to ESPN insider Pete Thamel.
While at Oklahoma State, he threw 765 of 1,254 passes for 9,553 yards, 67 touchdowns, and 40 interceptions in 44 career games. He also rushed 493 times for 1,956 yards and 18 touchdowns.
In 2022, Sanders has 212 of 368 passes for 2,642 yards, 17 touchdowns, nine interceptions and 107 carries for 391 yards and eight points in 10 games.
Tamer’s news comes as a bit of a shock to Rebel fans, considering Jackson Dart is firmly established as the starter for 2022.

Ole Miss defensive back Kindrich Breedlove has withdrawn from the transfer portal, according to On3.

Ole Miss got another commitment from the transfer portal on Friday. Louisiana Tech Bulldogs wide receiver Tre Harris has announced a move to Oxford.
In the 2022 season, Harris received and towed for over 900 yards for 10 touchdowns for the Bulldogs.

Ole Miss Rebels is reportedly one of the few teams in contact with former general recruit Travis Hunter, who recently left Jackson State via the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Colorado, which has hired former Jackson State head coach Deion Sanders, is the two teams that seem to lead Sanders, along with the Georgia Bulldogs.
But the rebels are right behind.
“Sources say Hunter has spoken to multiple staffers in Georgia, including Kirby Smart,” On3’s Chad Simmons said. “Miami, Ole Miss, USC and several other universities are also being considered. But Georgia and Colorado are two that deserve early attention.”
Hunter is an electric talent who plays on both sides of the ball at wide receiver and cornerback.
December 20 update
Over the weekend, Ole Miss hosted prospective John Saunders from Miami, Ohio.
With several years of qualification left, Saunders has started over a dozen games at the FBS level. During that time, he picked up 5 interceptions.
Sanders reported an offer from Ouremis over the weekend after a trip her father called “special” in a social media post.

Former Texas A&M kicker Caden Davis officially announced his move to Ole Miss on Sunday. Davis remains eligible for his two-year term in the SEC West program as an alumnus transfer.
Davis was expected to replace Seth Small following the 2021 season. Instead, freshman Randy Bond took over field goals and points at full time after the try following Texas A&M’s Week 2 loss to Appalachian State. Last season, Davis fielded on his goal attempts, where he succeeded 1 of 3 times, and in the season opener against Sam against Houston, he scored a 40-yard kick.

The world of college football knows Lane Kiffin will continue to attack transfer portals, and Thursday night set the stage for the first win in that light.
Jeremiah Jean-Baptiste, a 6-foot-2, 230-pound linebacker from UCF, has announced his commitment to Ole Miss Rebels. It was just after an official visit to Oxford.
Jean-Baptiste appeared in 35 UCF games during his college days and has one year left to qualify for the 2023 season. The South Florida native closed out his Knights career with 152 tackles, including 14 losses, two sacks, and one interception, before moving to the SEC.
Ole Miss also transferred wide receiver Jaylon Robinson to UCF in the previous cycle.

Ole Miss wide receiver Blaron Brown announced his intention to enter the transfer portal on Tuesday afternoon.
Brown appeared in three games during the 2022 season.

The pair of former Missouri City, Texas, Fort Bend and Marshall stars may be on the verge of taking their next college steps together, with Ole Miss hosting each for an official visit starting Tuesday .
Former Texas A&M wide receiver Chris Marshall, who has seen time played as a true freshman in 2022, is coveted on the NCAA transfer portal. Horsey is also scheduled in Oxford on Tuesday. On3 was the first to report news of his latest Rebel transfer target.
A SI99 recruit in the 2022 class, Marshall has a lot to choose from, and as a freshman he racked up 108 yards on 11 receptions in the fall. Haulcy is one of the best players on New Mexico’s roster, and in 2022 he earned freshman All-America honors with 87 tackles and he was selected with two interceptions.

Ole Miss defensive back Roman Rashada entered the NCAA transfer portal after not seeing the field this fall. Rashada was signed out of JUCO during the offseason and was rated as a three-star recruit out of high school.
Roman is the older brother of 2023 four-star quarterback Jayden Rashada. Rashada’s younger brother is now dedicated to the Miami Hurricanes after being recruited by Lane Kiffin over the summer.
Ole Miss offensive lineman Hamilton Hall has also announced his intention to enter the transfer portal. The Atlanta, Georgia native earned his three stars in his 2018 signing class at Ole Miss.

Two more Ole Miss Rebels entered the NCAA Transfer Portal on Wednesday. Offensive lineman He Jalen Cunningham and cornerback Kyndrich Breedlove decided to test transfer his Portal Waters.
Cunningham was a three-star recruit in Ole Miss’s 2018 signing class, having primarily served as a backup during his four seasons at Oxford.

Ole Miss has officially made an offer for former Mississippi receiver Rara Thomas. Thomas was the Bulldogs’ top receiver this fall, bringing in 44 receptions, 626 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.
Lane Kiffin retweeted Thomas’ transfer portal announcement on Friday, and many other Ole Miss players commented on the post trying to convince the wideout to become Rebel.
The Rebels could definitely capitalize on Thomas’ deep threat ability in senior receivers Jonathan Mingo and Malik Heath, who are likely heading into the 2023 NFL Draft. After playing his first two years at Mississippi State University, he decided to enter the transfer portal in search of greener turf.

Is Ole Miss in the process of acquiring another transfer wide receiver from the Mississippi State Bulldogs?
On Friday, Lane Kiffin retweeted an announcement from recipient Lara Thomas indicating her intention to enter the transfer portal.
It’s worth noting that the Rebels secured Malik Heath from the Bulldogs outside the portal last offseason. Heath was his receiver’s top miss in yards this season, and with four touchdowns he tallied 834 yards.

Defensive back Derek Bermudez announced his intentions to enter the transfer portal this week. The Jacksonville, Florida, native was active in his one game this season when the Rebels took on the Vanderbilt Commodores in Nashville.
November 30th
The latest player to announce his departure from Ole Miss Football is former in-state recruit MJ Daniels.
The Ruthdale, Mississippi, sophomore defensive back saw limited action in 2022 before appearing in five games in 2021 as a true freshman.
As outlined in a social media portal post Wednesday, Daniels has two seasons left to qualify.
