Rose Bowl-bound football teams, royalty court visit Disneyland ahead of New Year’s

Football players and coaches from the University of Utah and Pennsylvania State visited Disneyland Resort on Wednesday before heading to Pasadena to face off in the Rose Bowl game on January 2nd.

It’s a tradition for competing soccer teams to visit the “happiest place on earth” before the big game, according to a news release.

College football team players and coaches, 2023 Rose Queen Bella Adler, members of the Royal Court, and the Pasadena City College Tournament of Roses Honor Band participated in the Main Street USA parade and other festive events throughout the resort.

2023 Rose Bowl Games Continue to 134th rose palette. The parade begins at 8:00 AM Pacific Time.

KTLA 5 News will have wall-to-wall coverage of the parade starting at 4am on Mondays, with live coverage followed by replays of the parade throughout the day, ending around 10am.

The parade can also be streamed on broadcast channels, DirectTV streams, Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV, or apps associated with YouTube TV.

People can also watch the festival in person, but it’s best to go early to avoid road closures and secure good seats.

The Pasadena Police Department will close roads along or near the parade route beginning December 31 at 10:00 PM. Complimentary curb seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The parade float travels a 5.5 mile route at 2.5 mph. The parade begins at the corner of Green Street and Orange Grove Boulevard in Pasadena.
