It seems to happen every year. You drafted a great fantasy team in his August and are set to dominate his stretch of playoffs from Weeks 15-17. Never heard of it. Welcome to the playoffs. Week 15 was a wilder week than usual. Or maybe he just felt that way because of the extra hits he had all day long on Saturday.
If you survived the slump game from Star Nick Chubb, Davante Adams, Stefon Diggs, Mark Andrews When deandre hopkins Or if you trust new fantasy assets like Zonovan Knight, Chris Olave, Drake London Also Isaiah Pacheco, good for you. Heading into Week 16, the question arises, who should we trust? It is also necessary not to take unrealistic risks and lock the season into one insane performance.
Let’s take a look at some of the names that could pose some of the toughest decisions imaginable for playoff managers in Weeks 16 and 17.
hot veterans
Jerick McKinnon, RB Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City always has a running back that the fantasy community is rooting for, and it feels like the guy never has a chance to be great. The hardest thing for me as a fantasy player is to overcome what you want When accept what is happening with a team or player. Isiah Pacheco had more carries than McKinnon in Week 15, and in the red zone he was even with one carry each. But McKinnon’s role in The Pathing Game only does his fantasy work a big favor. Last week’s game against the Texans might have been the perfect place to count on the Chiefs’ backfield, but next week’s game against the Seahawks is the runner-up. Use both McKinnon and Pacheco if you prefer.
Zay Jones, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars are a frustrating team to write about. Many pundits went all out with coaching and personnel changes for the start of the season, but the team was quickly disappointed. The defense gave a spark of hope, but the offense was woefully inconsistent. everyone here Christian Kirk Or Jones won their matchup for them. Kirk is leading in fantasy points this season, but in the past three games, Zay his Jones has scored his four touchdowns against Kirk’s Zero. Kirk is still getting about eight targets per game, averaging about 80 yards over the span, while Jones is crushing the end zone.
New York’s pass defense is legitimate (allowing wide receivers the third-lowest number of fantasy points) and it probably will be a low-scoring game.
Latavius Murray/Marlon Mack, RB, Denver Broncos
If there’s a category for a Hall of Famer to make a big comeback off the bench, Murray would be in it. He rushed his 24 times for 130 yards and a score, averaging 5.4 yards per carry against Arizona. He also caught one pass for 12 yards. Mack was involved and had 4 catches on 4 targets and 1 rushing touchdown on 5 carries. Mack averaged 7.4 YPC against the soft Cardinals defense.
That said, I hate timeshare backs, TRUE Low scoring teams hate them. The Broncos will face the LA Rams in Week 16. It’s not a terrible matchup at this point, but it’s also not a situation where you scream “Attack!” If it is unavoidable, Murray can start, but Mack will be left on the bench.
Russell Gage, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
In the absence of low-end receivers, you wouldn’t expect his replacement to be the main offense, but that’s exactly what Gage did. Julius Jones Gage led the Bucks with 12 targets and carried eight, including two touchdown grabs. Chris Godwin Caught all eight of his targets and a touchdown, Mike Evans I struggled to catch just 5 of my 10 targets against the Bengals.
It’s Gage’s best fantasy game of the season, and one unlikely to be repeated, even if Jones misses Week 16. I think Evans has a much better chance of getting on track than the Cardinals’ generous defense. I chalk this up as a fluke.
aspiring hero
Tyler Allgaier, RB, Atlanta Falcons
If there’s one thing I’ve learned in the last two seasons, it’s cordarrell patterson It does not disappear. Although he and Allgaier both scored in the loss to the Saints, Allgaier attracted the attention of Fantasy his manager with his 139 rushing yards and his 8.2 YPC vs. Saints. He had three more carries than Patterson, but Patterson had two targets. The good news for Allgeier is that the Falcons keep moving the ball like crazy. desmond ridder The current pairing could split the goal line opportunity in three ways.
Next up is the Ravens, a team with an average defense against runs. Start Allgeier over other timeshares like Bucs, Dolphins, Bills, but consider someone like deon jackson Chargers should be in a more lead-back role instead of vs. Allgeier.
KJ Osborne, WR, Minnesota Vikings
I own Kirk Cousins The playoff squad was off after the first half of that Saturday’s Vikings game, but then they went and added another miraculous win to their resume for a crazy season. Justin Jefferson Both detected 16 targets and finished with roughly the same 30+ fantasy point days.flat Adam Thielen His 3-41-1 line paled in comparison to his teammates, but he managed to score. Despite the Vikings solidifying their pseudo-dominance with this dramatic victory, Osborne isn’t my go-to fantasy season player.
The Giants are next, which can be a sneaky frustrating defense. Jefferson, Cousins, Dalvin Cook They’re the only Minnesota players on the Week 16 roster that are truly reliable.
Noah Brown, WR, Dallas Cowboys
Speaking of teams with two star receivers for Week 15, it’s Brown and Seedy rum Tore up the Jaguar for a while on Sunday. Brown said he caught six of his nine targets for 49 yards and he scored two, while Lamb gave him 126 yards on all seven of his targets. Michael Gallup He only got two targets compared to five combined Dallas tight ends. Just looking at the box score alone, we can see that it’s a relatively run-oriented game plan. Ezekiel Elliott When Tony Pollard It splits the loss of 35 carries and 7 targets pretty evenly.
While Brown appeared to have distanced himself ahead of Gallup in Week 15, recent trends show the two are much more similar (both have had the same number of targets and goals in the last three games). He has two touchdowns, and Gallup’s 46.7% catch rate puts him in about two-thirds of Brown’s fantasy points in that span). Brown is a player I don’t need to start because it’s going to be tough going into Week 16 against division rival Philadelphia.you probably have Dionte Johnson Also DJ Moore On your bench — both appear to have regained their mojo and face much friendlier matchups than Brown in Week 16 (Raiders and Lions, respectively).
Hail-Mary will play in the 2QB/SuperFlex leaguer
Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers have so much talent that their QB is automatically associated with fantasy. Purdy so far appears to be made with the San Francisco mold of his QB play of safety first, conservative, and his control of the ball. In his last three games, Purdy threw his two touchdowns each, rushed his touchdowns he added one, and in that period (Week 13) he only had one turnover. protected the ball withHis passing yardage is unimpressive, but he has a knack for finding open men and finally figured it out George Kittle You can be that man. He seems to struggle with having multiple skills his player. Christian McCaffrey Week by week you’ll get fantasy accolades, but if you’re the one starting Daniel Jones, Matt Ryan, Ryan Tannehill Also Andy Dalton Purdy is definitely an upgrade in the 2QB league.
Desmond Ridder, Atlanta Falcons
Ridder’s appeal is partly novelty and our prejudice against anything new and exciting, but also his rushing/scrambling ability. 6 runs for 38 yards with a small loss to . He never made a big mistake, and his absurdly low 3.7-yard completion average was better than his regular 2QB starter. Mac Jones (Had a much better matchup than Ridder in Week 15). this Desperate at QB, it’s worth paying attention to what the rookie does at the end, but not starting him in week 16.
Brett Rippien, Denver Broncos
He led the Broncos to the second-highest point total of the season, but Denver is the league’s lowest-scoring offense, so it’s honestly not a high passing score. He made his 80.2% of his pass attempts while throwing his 1st touchdown and his 1st pick against Arizona. It was a dream match for him. He still couldn’t beat Fantasy Bank with his 7.7 fantasy points, considering the Cardinals conceded his second-most total fantasy points to an opponent.
In his third year, Ripien seems destined for a career as a backup QB and should also stay on the fantasy bench.
