Who plays on ‘Monday Night Football’ tonight? Time, TV channel, schedule for NFL Week 15 game

Two of the league’s most talked-about QBs take on each other in this week’s Monday Night Football.

No one has had a busier week than Rams passer Baker Mayfield. The 2018 No. 1 overall pick went from Panthers backup to Los Angeles starter in a matter of days. He wasn’t perfect against the Raiders, but he put in a great comeback in the fourth quarter. For his late heroism, he was somewhat surprisingly named his NFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 14.

Aaron Rodgers clashes with the Packers. Green Bay struggled for much of that campaign thanks to a new looking receiving force and injury problems for Rodgers. They’ve scored at least 28 points in three of their last four games, including a spectacular 31 in the week’s overtime win over Dallas.

In any case, the point is very important. Mayfield has momentum. Rogers has a pedigree. It should be an interesting clash that far surpasses each team’s mediocre record.

Who’s playing tonight in Monday Night Football?

  • match: rams vs packers
  • position: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The Rams (4-9) head to Lambeau Field and leave warm territory for a clash with the Packers (5-8).

It’s hard to overstate how underwhelmed these teams are in 2022. Both teams were expected to contend for the conference crown, but both teams are anchored at the bottom of their respective divisions throughout Week 14.

Health certainly didn’t help either party.

The core of Los Angeles’ Super Bowl winning team is missing. Matthew Stafford injured. Cooper Cup injured. Aaron Donald missed time. So does newcomer Allen Robinson. With that comes a discontinuity and, ultimately, poor performance on the gridiron. All of this makes the Rams’ Super Bowl hangover worse.

Conditions in Green Bay are not very good. Replacing worldwide Davante Adams is always a challenge, and while rookie Christian Watson put in a spectacular performance, things got worse with Aaron Rodgers’ poor health.

The puck can move the ball effectively and Watson has been sublime in recent months, but it takes more than that to win in the NFL. And with a defense that had more holes than a colander, it was tough to win in the surprisingly competitive NFC North.

This game may have little or no impact on the playoffs. But in this disappointing duel, either Mayfield, Rogers, Watson or Aaron Jones might stand out.
